Wyze’s New Duo Cam Pan Eliminates Security Camera Blind Spots

Most smart cameras give you a virtual window into your yard, letting you keep an eye on your house while you’re away. These setups are often limited by a single camera, which can create blind spots in your security system. Now, Wyze’s new smart security system includes two cameras that can cover the entire field of view of your chosen coverage area.

By combining static and motion-detecting cameras, the new camera system cancels out any dead zones by providing the widest field of view of any Wyze camera.

The Duo Cam Pan is one device with two 2K resolution cameras, and you can set multiple smart devices up on the same Wyze security system.

The two-camera system features one unmoving camera that maintains a feed of the most important area, while a second camera swivels and tracks motion in its operating zone. The moving camera has a 360-degree horizontal and 180-degree vertical range.

The Duo Cam Pan comes equipped with color night vision capabilities, IP65-rated weather resistance, two-way audio and motion-activated spotlights that can be configured with voice prompts for extra security.

The new camera is compatible with the Wyze Lamp Socket v2 and supports local video storage with a microSD card slot. It comes with a mounting kit, an indoor power adaptor and a 6-foot USB-C to USB-A cable in the box.

The Duo Cam Pan is currently available on the Wyze website and on Amazon. The device costs $70, but if you want to install multiple cameras in different locations, the two-pack is $130.

While the Wyze Duo Cam Pan is designed for indoor and outdoor environments, you won’t be able to use this camera system outside until September, when the Wyze Cam Universal Outdoor Power Adaptor releases.
