Imran Khan’s sisters detained near Adiala Jail during protest for meeting

Police have taken Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan, into custody near Adiala Jail during a protest demanding a meeting with their brother.

Sources said the arrests occurred at a police checkpoint close to the prison, where the sisters, accompanied by lawyer Salman Akram Raja and other PTI supporters, were holding a sit-in. Several other PTI workers were also detained and later transported toward Chakri Interchange.

Aleema Khan had earlier told reporters they were determined not to leave until granted a meeting with Imran Khan, stating, “We were stopped just 2 kilometers from the prison.”

The detentions have heightened concerns among PTI supporters amid ongoing tensions over the treatment of political detainees and restrictions on family visits.
