Open call for proposal for cross-border cooperation points

In May 2025, the EU has introduced the BRIDGEforEU Regulation (Reg EU 2025/925). This innovative regulation empowers Member States to set up cross-border coordination points (CBCP), designed to tackle stubborn legal and administrative hurdles that have long impeded fluid cross-border interactions.

The European Commission has just announced a call for proposals, offering financial support for establishing these transformative CBCPs. This initiative falls under the European Parliament’s pilot project aimed at creating effective cross-border coordination points, ultimately bridging gaps and facilitating smoother interactions across borders.

By establishing these CBCPs, the EU aims to foster stronger economic ties and greater integration among Member States, making cross-border transactions and communication more efficient. This call to action represents a pivotal moment for stakeholders and Member States to contribute to a more interconnected Europe, eliminating unnecessary barriers and fostering a truly unified Union.

All necessary documents and details for potential applicants are available on the Funding and Tenders Portal. The call is open until 13 November 2025.
