Paw Patrol studio Spin Master has promoted Marc De Vellis to executive vp and president of the toy maker’s Digital Games Creative Centre.
Spin Master, which makes popular toy brands like Paw Patrol and Bakugan that have had successful big and small screen adaptations, has digital game brands like Toca Boca and PikNik, which together draw 58 million digital players worldwide.
De Vellis, who has served as global head of studios for the last three years at Spin Master, will aim in his expanded role to grow the company’s digital games portfolio and the Digital Games Creative Centre overall.
“I look forward to building on the strong foundation of creativity and trust we’ve established with the millions of kids that engage with Toca Boca and PikNik. Together, with our studio teams, we are delivering meaningful digital experiences and fostering the next generation of creators, thinkers and storytellers,” De Vellis said in a statement on Thursday.
Spin Master continues to leverage its proprietary intellectual property in entertainment content, along with digital game platforms after board member Christina Miller in July 2025 replaced Max Rangel as CEO as he exits from leadership of the toy and digital games maker.
“Marc has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s digital games strategy, elevating our creative execution and overall player experience. His deep industry expertise and passion for play will further our vision to spark moments of connection and imagination through playful, inclusive experiences for kids globally,” Miller said in her own statement.
Spin Master Entertainment, the entertainment division of the Toronto-based company behind the Paw Patrol toy line that inspired the Nickelodeon series, has partnered with Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures on launched a feature animation franchise. A third film in the franchise is slated to arrive in theaters in 2026.
