Despite the extra exposition and too much show-don’t tell, the series has been praised by many, for its complex, layered characters, from Vishnu and his R&AW colleagues to Pakistan’s top intelligence officer, whose ruthless dedication to his country adds depth and tension. As some fans note, the show carefully balances high-stakes espionage with human moments, showing that everyone involved believes they are doing what’s right for their nation. However, some criticised it, and said that the promise and premise too, get diluted and just becomes merely ‘watchable’. It felt like a template, as appears to be the consensus among many fans.
