Jenna Ortega Trades Beach Goth for Boho (But Still Goth)

First there was mall goth. Then beach goth. Now, allow Jenna Ortega to introduce boho goth.

The Wednesday cast took their season 2 promotional duties down under, touching down in Sydney, Australia, where not even a trip to Bondi Beach could keep Ortega from her black leather. Yesterday, however, she and her stylist, Enrique Melendez, took a different approach.

Ortega added more dimension to her gothic sartorial universe for a so-called “Outcast Assembly” on Cockatoo Island, alongside castmates Emma Meyers and Gwendoline Christie, and executive producer Tim Burton. Over a black midi dress embellished with lace, she wore an enormous, black and white faux fur coat from Valentino’s resort 2026 collection. But Ortega traded in Alessandro Michele’s green lace tights and leather beret for something a bit more…Wednesday.

En route to Cockatoo Island, she toted a black Valentino Garavani Panthea, a leather patchwork bag with chunky gold chain handles and a silver stud-embellished shoulder strap. She also rewore a pair of knee-high lace-up Miista boots (which she donned for a Wednesday screening in New York earlier this month) outfitted with a square toe and angular wedge heel. (Perhaps her greatest accessory of all? The pair of wired headphones that nearly got lost in the jumble of faux fur.)

While she’s offered us no shortage of Wednesday Addams-inspired looks, dressed in an eclectic mix of lace, faux fur, and statement boots, Jenna Ortega could just as easily play the part of Penny Lane’s goth cousin.
