Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching on Thursday and what’s on the radar for Friday’s session. Data After a week filled with jobs numbers, Thursday morning will bring data on inflation. PCE comes out at 10 a.m. ET on “Squawk on the Street” with Sara Eisen, Carl Quintanilla and David Faber. The experts are looking for a 0.3% uptick in personal consumption expenditures. Consumer spending and personal income data are also due out at 10 a.m. The Transports The State Street SPDR Transportation ETF (XTN) is up 4.6% in four days. The ETF is 3.75% from its 52-week high, hit back in December of last year. The trucking stocks are leading the way this week with big gains from Saia , Heartland Express and Old Dominion Freight Line — all up in the 15% range. FTAI Infrastructure , also in the XTN, is up 18.5% so far this week. CNBC’s Frank Holland, anchor of “Worldwide Exchange,” watches the sector closely and will have more Friday morning on the big show starting at 5 a.m. ET. Set your alarm, it’s worth waking up for. SoFi Technologies The fintech announced a new public offering of common stock. Existing shareholders have a common sentiment it seems. They don’t like it. SoFi stock is down 6% after hours. SOFI YTD mountain SoFi Technologies shares year to date Victoria’s Secret reveals quarterly numbers The retailer’s numbers will come out on “Squawk Box” with Becky Quick, Joe Kernen and Andrew Ross Sorkin. The team will be watching for the report and the stock’s reaction. Victoria’s Secret shares have been jumping since its last report three months ago. Shares are up 62% since then. The stock, however, remains about 15% from its 52-week high, hit 51 weeks ago, on Dec. 13, 2024. VSCO YTD mountain Victoria’s Secret shares year to date Small caps in the USA The Russell 2000 is up 1.23% in four days. It is just off the October high of 2,541, ending the day at 2,531 — 0.4% away. The Russell 2000 is up more than twice any other major index this week. The miners BHP is up 7.8% so far this week. The stock hit a new high Thursday. Teck Resources is up 4.6% in four days. The Canada-based company also hit a new high. Southern Copper is up 3.8% in four days. It’s now 2.5% from its October high. Freeport-McMoRan is up 3.8% in four days, putting it 9% from its July high.
