After an injury-hit season, Olympic medallist Lee Zii Jia will return to badminton action at the 2025 BWF World Championships, taking place from 25–31 August in Paris, France.
The tournament, which is being held at the same arena in which Lee won men’s singles bronze at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 a year ago, will see the Malaysian compete in his first tournament since a first-round defeat at the All England Open in March.
Lee’s time away from court has seen his world ranking slide from eighth to 52nd, resulting in him being unseeded for the tournament.
This will not only be a test of his match fitness, but also of how ready he truly is to get back into the swing of competitions.
