Prince William shares emotional message as tense encounter with Kate begins

Prince William is set for a harmless rivalry with his better half, Princess Kate, as a key date looms. 

On August 23, the Prince of Wales shared an emotional message to extend good wishes to the Wales Women, who will be facing Team Scotland in the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.

William wrote his heartfelt note in Welsh and in English, which reads, “Good luck to Wales Women as they kick off their Rugby World Cup campaign against Scotland today.”

Notably, the game will take place at Salford Community Stadium on Saturday, August 23.

It is important to mention that the future King, William, is a patron of the Welsh Rugby Union. 

On the other hand, Princess Kate has also been serving as a patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and the Rugby Football League since 2022.

The royal couple is set for a tense encounter in the Six Nations tournament in March, supporting their own teams. 

Like William, Catherine also interrupted her summer break to wish good luck to England’s women’s rugby team ahead of their match with the USA.

On the official social media channels of the Prince and Princess of Wales, the future Queen wrote, “Wishing the Red Roses the very best as they kick off their Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign tonight.’

“I look forward to cheering you on and seeing the team rise to the challenge on home soil! C.”

Moreover, William appeared on social media with a new statement after his alleged decision to ‘sideline’ Buckingham Palace by living in Forest Lodge when he ascends the throne.
