Clair Obscur steelbook edition announced as Amazon exclusive for PS5 and Xbox

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is getting a new Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition later this year. While an exact release date hasn’t been announced, preorders are now live for $60 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The Mirror Edition includes a physical copy of the acclaimed RPG, an exclusive steelbook case, three collectible trading cards, and a tuckbox to store them all—making it a must-have for fans and collectors alike.

This isn’t the only retailer-exclusive edition up for grabs. GameStop’s Lumiere Edition for PS5 is also set for a rerelease on October 31. Priced at $70, this edition comes with a steelbook case, a 48-page art book, and Digital Deluxe Edition DLC outfits. Note that the Lumiere Edition is exclusive to PS5.

Developed by Sandfall Interactive, Clair Obscur has become one of 2025’s biggest breakout hits. With a 93 Metacritic score, including a 9/10 review from GameSpot, it currently stands as the highest-rated original game of the year. Only remasters of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom for Switch 2 are rated higher.

Physical copies of the game were a hot commodity at launch on April 24. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X editions sold out immediately, and publisher Kepler Interactive struggled to keep up with demand well into May and June. While Amazon now has stock of the $50 standard edition, many other retailers are still sold out.

Given the demand and collectible nature of the Mirror Edition, there’s a good chance it could sell out ahead of release—so fans may want to lock in their preorders while they can.
