Having visited the island for thirty years, BBC Radio 1’s Ibiza parties remain cornerstone moments that showcase every niche of electronic music.
Following its annual weekender at the start of August, BBC Radio 1 Dance X is back for a standalone date next week. This time, it turns its focus towards the bass-ier end of the spectrum in a return to Amnesia.
On Thursday 11 September, the legendary Terrace welcomes Rudimental for their only nightclub booking on the island this summer. In a departure from their festival sets, this is a rare opportunity to experience the chart-topping collective in a club-orientated context.
They’re joined by 4AM Kru, Special Request and Bullet Tooth, with UKG, Jungle and Drum & Bass forming the backbone of the night.
Providing a nice contrast to the high-octane, low-end assault, LaLa, Arielle Free, Jan and Eliza Rose deliver their own distinctive takes on contemporary House in the Main Room, ensuring the night balances hard-hitting bass with more accessible music.
Unlike the full weekend several weeks ago, this party is less about spectacle and more about feeling a sentiment echoed in Radio 1 Dance X’s programming.
The line-up captures a snapshot of electronic music in 2025: diverse, dynamic and rooted in club culture.
As Ibiza continues to define global dance music, Radio 1’s return to Amnesia could well be one of the island’s defining nights of the season.
