One UI 8 was a major overhaul of Samsung’s user interface, but the company’s first-party apps are getting their own improvements too – it’s not just the base UI. For example, the Samsung Notes app just got an updated version with two new features and some bug fixes.
The two major additions are support for landscape layout and support for sticky notes. The former refers to creating notes with the “page” oriented horizontally, not having the option to use the app in landscape orientation (which was already supported).
This will be a great fit for tablets like the newly announced Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and the upcoming Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra (coming next week). Meanwhile, sticky notes offer an instant view of reminders and short to-do lists.
Samsung Notes v4.4.30.63 changelog
The new features arrive with app version 4.4.30.63. Note that this is available only for select phones running One UI 8 beta. One UI 7 devices only see an older version of the app and even Samsung’s new foldables, which introduced stable One UI 8, can’t update to this version yet.
