Xiaomi rolls out HyperOS 3 with “super island” interface, similar to Apple’s dynamic island · TechNode

Xiaomi on Thursday released HyperOS 3, its newest operating system, featuring the Super Island interface to enhance smart device interactions. The system introduces a three-island coexistence layout that lets users view multiple types of information at the same time, including charging status, driving navigation and delivery notifications. Users can pull down mini windows for quick actions or drag and share their trips or schedules through WeChat, a popular Chinese messaging and social media app. Additionally, the system extends compatibility with Apple devices. Users can sync iPhone notifications, control devices across platforms, view shared cloud albums and transfer files. The update began rolling out to eligible devices on Aug. 29.
