DLA Piper served as regulatory advisor to T-Mobile in its US$4.4 billion acquisition of UScellular

DLA Piper served as regulatory advisor to T-Mobile US, Inc. in its US$4.4 billion acquisition of United States Cellular Corporation’s (UScellular) wireless operations.

“Congratulations to our longtime client T-Mobile on this major acquisition. It was a privilege bringing together our deep industry knowledge and experience to close this deal, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth,” said Nancy Victory, Co-Chair of DLA Piper’s US Telecom practice, who co-led the deal team.

Prior to the closing of the transaction on August 1, 2025, UScellular was the largest facilities-based regional wireless provider in the US, with more than four million customers. T-Mobile acquired UScellular’s stores, businesses, customers, and certain specified spectrum assets. The transaction will also give hundreds of thousands of households in UScellular’s footprint access to T-Mobile’s high-speed, in-home broadband service.

In addition to Victory (Washington, DC), the team was co-led by Partners Mike Senkowski and Eric DeSilva (both Washington, DC) and included Partners Peter Karanjia (Washington, DC) and Kristin Jacobson (San Francisco), and Associates Peter Shroyer, Morgan Schick, Stacey Weber, and Aliyyah Muhammad (all Washington, DC).
