The Summer I Turned Pretty is traveling from the beach to Paris for its ending.
Prime Video released the trailer for the series’ final three episodes on Friday that shows Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) reeling from the — spoiler alert! — end of her relationship to Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalengo), breaking up on what was supposed to be their wedding day following a confession from Conrad (Chris Briney) that he still loved her.
In the final three episodes that will bring the series to a close, Belly will have a new beginning in Paris but the Fisher brothers are never far from her mind. While seemingly having new adventures alongside a new group of friends, Belly is shocked when she sees that Conrad sent her a written letter.
“Dear Belly…” Briney’s Conrad is overheard saying before the trailer ends.
Though the series has closely abided by the best-selling book trilogy from Jenny Han, the final three episodes of the third and final season have been teased to depart from the books, leaving fans left wondering what’s truly in store for Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah, Steven and Taylor.
Tung told The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the season premiere that she’s happy with where Belly’s story ends in the show. “It was really fun to feel like it was a little bit more of a mature journey or she feels more grown up, and you can sort of tell in the decisions that she makes,” she said. “But it was really fun to film and really fun to see sort of play out.”
Joining the series in recurring roles for these last three episodes are Corinna Brown, Fernando Cattori, Isaline Prevost Radeff and Jahz Armando.
