Deals: Samsung Galaxy S25 series, S24 FE discounted, OnePlus 13 and 13R also on sale

On Thursday next week, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 FE and the new Galaxy Tab S11 flagship slates. There are no official details for the S25 FE yet, but we’ve seen leaks and we can guess that it will be an evolution of last year’s S24 FE with a new chipset.

Speaking of the Galaxy S24 FE, it started at $650 for the base 8/128GB model and we can expect the S25 FE to cost the same or thereabouts – plus some pre-order perks, of course (perhaps the new Galaxy Buds3 FE). Of course, the old S24 FE no longer costs as much as it did back then – you can grab one for $460 right now. But should you?

You can go cheaper with the Samsung Galaxy A56. This one has lower performance (Exynos 1580 vs. 2400e) and lacks a telephoto camera but is otherwise fairly similar. Note that it has a bigger 5,000mAh battery with faster 45W wired-only charging (vs. 4,700mAh with 25W wired and 15W wireless). Not bad for $90 less and you get double the storage too (non-expandable, unfortunately).

There’s also the OnePlus 13R, which is sure to be cheaper than the S25 FE – even before you apply the $100 discount. This one has an older but still high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 6.78” LTPO display – we don’t know whether this generation of FE will get an LTPO panel like the other S25 models or not. Anyway, it does have a telephoto camera, a 50MP 2x/47mm module, to go with the 50MP main (1/1.56”) and 8MP ultra-wide. And it has a large 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired-only charging.

Let’s also have a look at the other four Galaxy S25 models, which have discounts ranging from $300 to $120. The flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra has the best discount, placing the base 12/256GB model right on the $1,000 line.

The Galaxy S25 Edge arrived later than the main trio, but it is already seeing some hefty discounts – especially the version with 512GB storage, which is only $20 more than the 256GB one at the moment. The Edge isn’t the best phone out there, but it is certainly the thinnest and lightest model with a 6.7” display (LTPO). Here’s how the S25 Edge compares against the S25 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ doesn’t have as good a discount, so it costs around the same as the Edge. There are some reasons to pick the Plus over the Edge, which we detail in our comparison article.

And then there’s the vanilla Galaxy S25 with a modest discount – the cheapest non-FE model rarely gets good deals. However, it’s the only premium small phone (actually it’s the only small phone) from Samsung.

Going back to OnePlus, the OnePlus 13 is not particularly thin or light, but it does have a 6,000mAh battery with both 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, it has a triple 50MP camera, which includes a 3x/73mm periscope.

OnePlus 13

Finally, the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 offers flagship performance with a Snapdragon 8 Elite – the same chip as in the S25 series (non-FE) and the OnePlus 13 – in a flip phone form factor. It has a 4,700mAh battery with 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. That’s bigger and faster than the S25 Edge!
