The Vienna-based violinist, violist and conductor Julian Rachlin has joined the London-based agency Knight Classical for representation in the US, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Rachlin said of the signing: ’Marking my 50th year, I feel a renewed sense of focus and energy for the music I want to make and the stories I still want to tell. Beginning this new chapter with Alexandra Knight and Knight Classical feels like the right step at the right time. Her deep understanding of the classical world, paired with a modern, creative approach to supporting an artist’s career, is exactly what I was looking for. I’m excited for what lies ahead, and to shape the next part of my journey with a team that truly shares my vision.’
Founder and CEO of the London-based agency, Alexandra Knight commented: ’Julian’s energy, artistry, and curiosity are simply magnetic. At 50, with the wisdom of having performed at the highest level for nearly four decades, alongside some of the greatest musicians in living memory, he remains deeply committed to honing his craft and pushing artistic boundaries.
’He is an artist in constant evolution – one who has stayed at the forefront of our artform through an extended period of disruptive change. This is exactly the kind of musician to whom I am drawn: fearless in the face of challenge, unwavering in dedication to artistic integrity, and capable of affecting and uniting audiences through the ironclad delivery of work of the very highest calibre. It is an honour to represent Julian, and the team and I look forward to working closely and creatively together on this next chapter of his musical life.’
