Now that most students are back in school, retailers are starting to wind down their back to school sales. At least that’s how things used to work. This year is a little different and I’m noticing some of my favorite laptop deals from Labor Day are actually still available.
For example, Lenovo’s end-of-summer sale is still offering laptops from $419. The sale includes mainstream machines as well as some gaming rigs from the company’s LOQ and Legion series.
As a MacBook Air user, I’m always looking for Apple deals and right now Amazon has MacBooks on sale from $897. My personal favorite deal at Amazon is the 15-inch MacBook Air (M4) on sale for $999. Yes, the 13-inch model is also on sale, but it was a few bucks cheaper earlier in the week. The 15-inch model is currently at an all-time price low and one of the best laptops we’ve tested.
Finally, I’m a big fan of the XPS 13 for $899 at Dell. This configuration packs a 13.4-inch 2K display, Intel Core Ultra 5-226V CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It’s a nice machine for work, home, or school.
Below I’ve rounded up my favorite laptop deals right now. Every machine I’m recommending is guaranteed to last you for several years thanks to their impressive spec sheets. (For more deals, check out our guide to the best cheap laptop deals).

I’ve noticed an uptick in laptop deals this weeks, so I’ve picked out the best deals on machines Tom’s Guide staff have tested or that I’d buy with my own money.
