Pakistan, Afghanistan meet today in Sharjah tri-series final

(Web Desk) – Pakistan and Afghanistan are set to compete in the UAE T20 Tri-Series 2025 final on Sunday (today) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium tomorrow.

Both teams won three of their four matches, with Pakistan securing the top spot and Afghanistan finishing second.

In their most recent game, Afghanistan scored 170/4 to narrowly defeat the UAE by four runs, as the UAE ended at 166/5. Ibrahim Zadran’s 48 off 35 balls earned him the Player of the Match.

Pakistan, meanwhile, posted 171/5 against the UAE, driven by Fakhar Zaman’s unbeaten 77 off 44 balls, clinching a 31-run victory as the UAE finished at 140/7.

Pitch Report: The Sharjah Cricket Stadium pitch is expected to be batter-friendly, with an average first innings score of 181 runs across the last 10 matches.

Teams batting first have won seven of those games, suggesting the toss winner may choose to bat. Both pace and spin bowlers are likely to receive equal support from the surface.
