Super Junior‘s Leeteuk recently spoke up about the recent dating allegations he was facing.
Previously, it was reported that Leeteuk had been spotted on a “date” with a woman, pro golfer Jang So Hee. An account that shared the post claimed that the pair were in a relationship, and previously shared other “evidence” to support the claims.

Shortly after this, Leeteuk went on a live stream, where he shared that he was aware of the situation and addressed the rumors.
He started by saying he was shocked to see the photos, stating that he shared this with member Shindong. He explained that he and Shindong often go to events at the specific country club, and that there are often other celebrities present who form crews and end up hanging together often.
I saw the photos and was speechless myself because Shindong was sitting beside me at that time, and on his other side his friend was there, too.

Leeteuk then said that he was confused over the photo, which he stated was framed as though he went there alone to meet Jang, who is one of his many golfer friends. He explained that golf is rarely played with just two people, and usually involves a group of at least four and that the location of the photo was a rest area before finishing the last 9 holes.
He also said he was planning on filing a complaint with the golf club, which is meant to be membership only.
I don’t know who snapped the photos and then maliciously made it look like I went out with someone alone. […] I don’t know if a staff member took the photos or who did but the photos looked like we were alone, secluded, and I didn’t have a mask on, just kind of covering my face from the sun. Those modified photos were uploaded. Honestly, I’m very mad. I’m going to file a complaint against the golf club. I will show the photos to the CEO and the manager there and discuss the matter.

One of the pieces of evidence used was Jang wearing a cardigan owned by Leeteuk, which he also explained, saying that after the end of golf gatherings, he usually returns home to shower before rejoining the group. As a result, he may get asked to bring warmer clothing if someone gets cold, which is was happened in this case.

Leeteuk then seems to say that he is aware of the person behind the rumors, after previously saying he has been dealing with this for months and that the person is always present when he goes live by himself or is with the members, is is confused about their motives.
I saw what was said and I was like ‘How can someone put two and two together and make up stories?’ I’ve been thinking, I’ve been enduring this for months. […] It’s been nothing but stress. [That person] keeps switching usernames, whenever I go live or do activities with the whole group. That person is always there…and I know who they are. […]It’s been that one person. One. […]
I’ve thought several times — is this person really my fan? Or does this person want me to make a mistake? What do they want me to do by saying these things? They’re throwing threats here and there. Why? For what?
He also shared that because of this, he and Jang have gotten closer due to him constantly apologizing.
