KP govt bans teacher transfers to ensure uninterrupted learning

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has imposed a complete ban on all types of teacher postings and transfers, effective from September 10.

According to the department, the move comes as academic activities resume after summer vacations, and transfers at this stage could disrupt the learning process. Teachers from all cadres have been directed not to approach the Education Minister’s office or the Secretariat for transfer requests.

The department warned of strict action against those seeking transfers during the ban, instructing district offices to ensure full compliance. Under the new policy, teacher transfers will only be permitted once a year during vacations through the e-transfer system.

Education Minister said teachers must now devote their full attention to students, stressing that uninterrupted learning should remain the top priority.
