Apple has refreshed its smartwatch lineup with the launch of the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch SE 3, and Watch Ultra 3, each bringing key design and health upgrades. The entire trio introduces 5G connectivity in Apple Watches, alongside new health tools such as hypertension awareness and enhanced sleep tracking.
Apple Watch Series 11
The Watch Series 11 is Apple’s thinnest smartwatch to date and is designed for added durability. It features Ion-X glass with a ceramic coating, which Apple claims is twice as tough as the material used in the previous generation. The watch retains the familiar 42mm and 46mm sizes and is available in aluminum and titanium casings.
Series 11 debuts hypertension awareness, a feature that warns users of potential blood pressure irregularities, pending FDA clearance. A new sleep score rates nightly rest out of 100 based on duration, consistency, sleep stages, and wakeups. Continuous heart rate and blood oxygen tracking are included, supported by improved 24-hour battery life.
Aluminum models come in Jet Black, Silver, Rose Gold, and Space Gray, while titanium variants are offered in Natural Titanium, Gold, and Slate. Pricing begins at $399 for the 42mm aluminum version and $429 for the 46mm model, with cellular models costing an additional $100.
Apple Watch SE 3
The Watch SE 3 brings several upgrades, including an Always-On Display, last year’s Apple S10 chip, and optional 5G support. Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, the SE 3 supports double-tap and wrist flick gestures, while fast charging now delivers eight hours of usage from a 15-minute charge.
Health features include the new sleep score tool, along with 24/7 heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring. The SE 3 is available in Starlight and Midnight colors, starting at $249, with deliveries scheduled for September 19.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
The Watch Ultra 3 introduces an LTPO 3.0 OLED display, offering improved brightness and slimmer bezels. It supports optional 5G cellular connectivity and enhanced satellite features for Emergency SOS, messaging, and location sharing via Find My.
Like the Series 11, the Ultra 3 includes hypertension awareness and the sleep score feature. Apple has also boosted endurance, with the new model rated for 42 hours of battery life, the longest ever for an Apple Watch.
The Ultra 3 is available in Black Titanium and Natural Titanium finishes, starting at $799, with deliveries beginning on September 19.
