Sales of motorcycles and three-wheelers in Pakistan rose to 148,063 units in August 2025, reflecting a 42% year-on-year (YoY) increase and a 19% month-on-month (MoM) gain, PAMA data shows.
Two-Month Performance
For the first two months of FY26 (July–August), total sales stood at 273,000 units, representing a 44% YoY increase compared to the same period last year, Topline Securities revealed.
Market Dynamics
Analysts attribute the rise in demand to:
- Lower inflationary pressures
- Increased rural demand
- More affordable financing for two-wheelers compared to cars
The segment remains critical for daily commuting and commercial use, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas where motorcycles and rickshaws dominate local transport.
Industry Outlook
Despite challenges from floods and inflation earlier this year, demand for two- and three-wheelers is expected to remain strong in FY26, supported by affordability and rising demand for cost-effective transport.
