Katie Holmes adores a pop of red—usually in the form of a ballet flat or one of her very covetable it-bags, set against a neutral-toned silk slip dress or a pair of trusty denim jeans. But it’s New York Fashion Week. Specifically, the Fforme show—the quietly chic, dreamily draped celebrity and editor fave.
To sit front row of the spring 2026 collection show, Holmes wore a full look from the label in a brilliant strawberry red. The actor wore a sleeveless red trench style Lennox coat over the high neck, longsleeve red satin Mila dress with a drop waist and flowing skirt, and just a peep of a round toe red shoe on show. Wearing her brunette hair long and tousled, she finished her glam with rosy red cheeks and a cherry lip.

Holmes wrapped shooting her film Happy Hours just at the end of summer, acting as star, writer, and director on the project. The first movie in a trilogy, the romantic dramedy sees her acting opposite her former Dawson’s Creek costar Joshua Jackson. In between filming moments, of course, Holmes showed off some sleek and laidback director fits.
The actor and director remains a dab hand at occasion dressing. For a recent trip to the US Open, she wore a gray and white grid print Silk Laundry slip dress, accessorizing with Marni’s trending Tulipea bag in an almost tennis ball shade of lime green. (As always, a Katie Holmes spot will more than likely yield the forthcoming season’s it-bag to put on your seasonal wishlist). Holmes also looks ready to start really dressing for fall, photographed recently in a billowing, boho style top that’s perfect for transitional dressing.
With fashion week(s) in full swing, the gala calendar filling up, and awards season about to kick off, you can expect the full gamut of Katie Holmes’s fall fashion—whether she’s dressing up in for the front row, the red carpet, or schlepping around New York.
