Brookfield Asset Management is in talks to buy US landlord Yes! Communities Inc. from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte for more than $10 billion, the Financial Times reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The asset management firm has been in negotiations for months and discussions are ongoing, according to the newspaper. While the deliberations are at an advanced stage, no deal has been formally agreed and the talks could still fall apart, the FT said on Sunday.
