Vivo’s next flagship smartphones are now officially backed to run the latest version of Android out of the box. It will be skinned with OriginOS 6, a UI now also touted to rival the iOS 26 software of the new iPhone 17 series in a number of ways – the ability to connect, and swap files, with iPads and Macs included.

The X300 Pro is now officially backed to be Vivo’s biggest threat to Apple’s latest iPhones to date on its launch with its vastly upgraded rear cameras (in a potentially more streamlined package to boot).

Now, the upcoming Dimensity 9500-powered flagship smartphone is also touted to come the closest to an iPhone experience in terms of software and cross-platform connectivity, too.

According to a company executive, it will break into the walled Apple garden with the ability to swap files to and from a user’s macOS PC or iPad.

This feature is to be part of OriginOS 6, the OEM’s custom version of Android 16. As with the OnePlus version, there is a catch, mostly that these “free Mac cross-platform transfers” need to take place within the UI of a Vivo account, which needs to be signed in on both the Apple device and the new smartphone in question.

Then again, that slight workaround apparently negates the need for either to be so much as connected to the same Wi-Fi network. It is apparently completely wireless nonetheless, without the need of a cable in sight.

OriginOS 6 and its Mac Transfers are also slated to debut on the X300 Pro’s compact sibling, and also on their Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered cousin the iQoo 15 on its launch.
