FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26 starts December 9

The FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26 season will be held from December 9 to June 28, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced on Monday.

The seventh edition of the FIH Pro League begins simultaneously in Ireland and Argentina. A total of 144 matches will be staged across 10 countries over seven months.

Germany and Belgium men will open the season in Ireland, while in Argentina, reigning champions Netherlands take on debutants Pakistan later in the day.

The Indian men’s hockey team, bronze medallists at the Paris 2024 Olympics, will begin its campaign in February against Argentina and Belgium. India narrowly avoided relegation last season, finishing eighth.

The Indian women, meanwhile, will miss this edition after being relegated to the FIH Nations Cup following their last-place finish in the 2024-25 hockey league.

This season introduces two newcomers – Ireland women and Pakistan men – both promoted via the Nations Cup.
