India left ‘in mourning’ after Pakistan-Saudi Defence Pact: AJK PM

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq on Sunday said India has been left “in mourning” following the signing of a historic defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Addressing the “Battle of Truth” rally in Rawalakot, he said Indian forces had suffered a crushing defeat and Pakistan’s army had given a strong response to the enemy.

He urged unity to counter India’s designs and pledged to raise the Kashmir issue again at the OIC and Arab League forums.

On the occasion, the AJK premier also announced a Rs1 billion development package for Poonch.

It is notable that political parties in Azad Kashmir have already begun a campaign to express solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces. Sunday’s rally at Sabir Shaheed Stadium, Rawalakot, marked the launch of this movement.
