Just over five weeks after the Red Roses kicked off the tournament in style against the USA, their Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign will culminate with a final against Canada.
Saturday’s final takes place at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham at 16:00 BST, where a sold-out crowd of 82,000 will set a new world record for a women’s rugby match.
John Mitchell’s side defeated France 35-17 in the semi-finals, with a late try from World Rugby Women’s Player of the Year nominee Megan Jones sealing the win.
The Red Roses are on a world-record winning run of 32 games, while opponents Canada are also in strong form having beaten New Zealand for their place in the final.
Their 34-19 win over the Black Ferns ended the defending champions’ hopes of winning their seventh World Cup title.
England are chasing a third Women’s Rugby World Cup having last lifted the trophy in 2014 when they beat Canada in the final.
The most recent encounter between the two sides was during WXV in 2024, a game that the Red Roses won 21-12 in Vancouver to seal the title.
That was Kevin Rouet’s team’s last defeat and they are unbeaten in 2025, with a draw against the Black Ferns in Pacific Four the only mark against their record.
