The 69th Ballon d’Or ceremony takes place tonight, 22 September 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, where football’s biggest stars will gather for the sport’s most prestigious awards.
First presented in 1956, the Ballon d’Or has grown into a global celebration of football’s finest achievements, honouring not only the standout individual players but also teams, coaches, and performances from across the world’s leagues and competitions over the past season.
Over the course of the evening (the ceremony is scheduled to start at 9pm local), winners will be revealed in categories such as the Men’s and Women’s Ballon d’Or (best male and female player), the Kopa Trophy (best under-21 player), the Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper), the Gerd Müller Award (top striker), Club of the Year (best overall team), and more.
