The new season of Nebula‘s hit travel competition “Jet Lag: The Game” just debuted, so it’s going to be a few weeks until fans know which “All Stars” team came out victorious in the latest Europe-based tag edition of the series. That said, if the cast’s recent interview with Variety is any indication, there’s one team that’s most unlikely to win based on punctuality alone.
Last week, Variety sat down with regular “Jet Lag: The Game” crew Sam Denby, Ben Doyle and Adam Chase, along with guest stars Toby Hendy, Brian McManus and Michelle Khare to talk about Season 15 and some memorable moments from the previous 14 installments.
Viewers will notice that roughly the first four minutes of the “Most Likely To” game are played without McManus present — because in an unintentional tribute to “Jet Lag: The Game,” McManus was racing across New York City to make it to the interview at the Variety office.
“Are we allowed to say to the camera that we called Brian 20 minutes ago and he said, ‘What Variety thing?’” Doyle says, revealing the behind-the-scenes story for the fully unplanned mishap experienced by his Season 15 teammate. “I am sweaty,” McManus remarks, as he sits down between Doyle and Khare. “I feel it,” Khare adds.
Once everyone was settled the game resumed and the cast revealed everything from who regularly gets food poisoning to who is most likely to miss their flight to who is the biggest fan of castles (sorry to Chase for the easy target there.)
