Gold prices climbed to a fresh all-time high in Pakistan on Tuesday, tracking gains in international markets, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
In the domestic market, the price of gold rose by Rs. 5,100 per tola, reaching Rs. 398,800. The 10-gram rate stood at Rs. 341,906, up Rs. 4,372 from the previous day.
Monday had already seen a sharp increase, with per tola prices jumping Rs. 3,400 to Rs. 393,700.
Internationally, bullion prices also strengthened. APGJSA reported that gold was trading at $3,770 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, after rising $51 during the day.
Silver prices followed the trend, gaining Rs. 42 per tola to settle at Rs. 4,637.
