The Xbox partnership is alive after all as Kojima has revealed a new trailer for OD.
Like most of Kojima’s newest projects, the game has a cast full of stars including Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves‘ Sophia Lillis, Hunters‘ Udo Kier and Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer. The new trailer focuses on Sophia’s character lighting candles as a creepy monster appears behind her.
Kojima explained the game is subtitled “Knock” to differentiate from the Jordan Peele movie of the same name. He notes that “knocking sounds” scare him, and you can hear it echo throughout the trailer.
The trailer reveals a few tiny details with on screen text that is heavily redacted, but overall has some hints. The game appears to take place 10 years after something mysterious has happened.
Interestingly the game is also utilizing Unreal Engine, instead of Kojima’s own in-house engine. The game does look beautiful though.
