Prince William and Kate Middleton made a poignant visit to Southport, England on September 23 to honor the three victims lost in a July 2024 stabbing attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. Before they departed Southport yesterday, the Prince and Princess of Wales left with a Taylor Swift-themed accessory on their wrists—matching friendship bracelets, given to them by the mother of Bebe King, one of the victims of the senseless violence.

After being given the bracelets, William and Kate wore them for the rest of their visit on Tuesday, People reported. This was the couple’s second visit to Southport, nearby Liverpool; they first visited in October 2024, three months after the attack, to honor the lives of not just King, 6, but also Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9.
During their visit yesterday, the Prince and Princess of Wales toured the girls’ schools and met privately with each of their families. Lauren King presented the couple with the bracelets, which spelled out “Bebe’s Hive,” a grief support charity for children founded in King’s name.

“It meant everything,” Lauren told GB News of her time with William and Kate. “It was really special.”
“I think we’re really grateful anyway how Bebe’s been honored so much in this school, and seeing the prince and princess support that and be here has been just amazing,” she continued.

While making remarks on Tuesday, the future king encouraged the kids to “Be brave, be joyful, and be kind,” and, addressing the girls’ parents directly, added, “You are parents united in grief. You have faced such horror—but from that, you move forward with grace and fortitude, creating the most remarkable legacies for your girls. We will always be here to support you.”

In addition to her friendship bracelet, Kate wore a new coat from Jigsaw, where she once worked before marrying into the royal family. She wore underneath it a pink Burberry blouse featuring a pussybow, a look she previously wore while visiting Boston with William in December 2022 and, per the fashion site What Kate Wore, she wore Hugo Boss heels, carried a Smythson bag, and wore Annoushka Baroque Pearl Drop earrings.
