Palace Source Says William’s “Authority as Heir” Undermined by Harry Visit: “It’s About Shifting Power”

  • Prince William feels “edged out” by Prince Harry’s reunion with King Charles.

  • His Majesty and Prince Harry met for about an hour over tea, and it was said to be a success.

  • Sources say the meeting “risks undermining William’s authority as heir.”

Prince Harry recently visited England and had a successful tea meeting with King Charles (their first face-to-face in 19 months!) and now…everyone is spiraling. Per usual. Not only are there false claims that Harry might move back to the U.K., there’s speculation that he wants to be a part-time working royal, and now a source is out here claiming that he wants to throw a wrench in King Charles’ relationship with Prince William.

Basically, this man had one tea with his dad and the entire internet has abandoned all chill.

Meanwhile, Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop reports that Buckingham Palace has “gone into overdrive to downplay talk of reconciliation.”

Per one insider, “Whoever is behind these stories seems to have mistaken a slice of cake for the Treaty of Versailles,” while another says, “Charles is vulnerable right now, and Harry knows it. If William feels edged out, Harry gains leverage.”

Another source notes that “if Charles is seen cozying up to Harry, it risks undermining William’s authority as heir,” while a former palace aide says “It’s no longer about mending fences. It’s about shifting power—and Harry knows exactly where to stick the knife.”

Keep in mind that William hasn’t made any public comments about his brother’s meeting with Charles! Oh, and Harry’s spokesperson recently shut down rumors that the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle are sending their son, Prince Archie, to Eton. More on that below:
