LAHORE – The second Shaheed Hakeem Muhammad Saeed Girls’ Basketball Tournament has entered its final stage at the International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Aram Bagh, Karachi.In the first girls’ semifinal, Bahria College overpowered Dow Club 30-12. Diya Noor (18 points), Kinza Ali (8) and Dua Batool (4) excelled. For Dow Club, Fabiha Tariq scored 6, Anabia 4, and Afifa 2.The second semifinal saw Aram Bagh Club edge past Bahria Club 6-4. Urooj Kamran and Anjeel netted 2 points each, while Amna Ashraf also scored 2. For Bahria Club, Rabeel contributed 2. In the boys’ category, two matches were decided. Dow Club outclassed National Club 28-12 while Karachi Colts defeated Usman Club 31-25. The matches were supervised by technical officials Aamir Sharif, Zafar Iqbal, Haji Muhammad Ashraf Yahya, Zaeema Khatoon, and Zahid Malik. Earlier, Firdous IttehadPresident and KBBA patron Shahida Parveen Kayani was introduced to the players as the chief guest. The event was also attended by KBBA President Ghulam Abbas Jamil Adv, and Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi.
