Keith Le Goy, chair of Sony Pictures Television, is set to do a keynote interview at MIPCOM in Cannes.
Le Goy, who earlier this year was promoted to the Sony Pictures TV chief post, will participate in a fireside chat on the opening day of the TV conference and market. “Keith Le Goy is one of most respected, impactful and insightful dealmakers on the international stage,” Lucy Smith, director of MIPCOM Cannes said in a statement on Friday.
“SPT’s successful approach to invest in creative storytelling and take strategic risks with a freedom to produce and sell each series independently, provides Keith a unique perspective on current dynamics, opportunities and the path forward for the industry,” she added.
Le Goy’s keynote will precede an opening night screening of the upcoming Peacock romantic dramedy The Miniature Wife, to be followed by a Q&A with castmembers Matthew Macfadyen, O-T Fagbenle and Sian Clifford. Sony Pictures TV handles global distribution of the NBCUniversal-owned streamer series.
During his fireside conversation, Le Goy is expected to talk about the entertainment business from his vantage point, TV and home entertainment distribution for the studio’s film and television content and cable networks across the U.S., Latin America and Europe. He also has responsibility for the studio’s game show business (which includes Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune) and cable outlet GSN.
Le Goy, who has been with the studio for over 25 years and earlier served as president of distribution for Sony Pictures TV, in January 2025 succeeded Ravi Ahuja, who moved up to president and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment after the departure of Tony Vinciquerra.
Before joining Sony Pictures, Le Goy served as head of sales for Disney’s European television distribution business. MIPCOM is set to run from Oct. 13-16 in the south of France.
