The Node Atom 525 Standmount and Atom 650 Floorstander speakers are made with advanced materials, proprietary acoustic engineering and craftsmanship at Node’s Cambridge base.

Forbes readers in the U.K. can be amongst the first people to hear a new speaker technology developed by British manufacturer Node Audio. The company is unveiling its new Atom range of loudspeakers during the UK HiFi Show Live, which is taking place at Ascot Racecourse from September 27 – 28, 2025.
The all-new Atom speaker range brings together advanced materials, proprietary acoustic engineering and a high level of craftsmanship. Node says its Atom speakers are a significant step forward in loudspeaker design and performance.
Standmount Or Floorstander
The Atom range is initially launching with two models. The Atom 525 is a standmount design and is available with an optional dedicated stand. The Atom 650 is a floorstanding speaker and both models feature Node’s patented Helical Transmission Line technology.
The close alignment of the tweeter and dual midrange drivers in the Node Atom speakers preserves the coherence of the soundstage in both the horizontal and vertical planes.

Helical Transmission Line extends the bass response of the speakers far beyond the amount their size would suggest. HTL directs the output from the long-throw woofer into a central chamber and is driven through a helical passageway that reinforces and then projects bass.
Patented MonoCell Damping
The new speakers also feature Node’s patented MonoCell damping material. Made with additive manufacturing, MonoCell has a rigid lattice structure and replaces the more traditional fibrous damping material that’s used in most speakers.
The MonoCell also doubles as infinite bracing and creates an ultra-stiff monocoque enclosure and dramatically reduces cabinet coloration and projects a more transparent sound.
The Atom range uses Node’s patented MonoCell damping material which has a rigid lattice structure and replaces the traditional fibrous damping used in most speakers.

Every element of the Atom enclosures is engineered to ensure acoustic integrity. The sculpted cabinet doesn’t have any sharp edges or flat surfaces that could compromise the integrity of the stereo soundstage.
The close alignment of the tweeter and dual midrange drivers preserves the coherence of the soundstage in both horizontal and vertical planes. The ultra-lightweight midrange drivers are designed without a traditional spider which makes them free from mechanical restrictions.
Designed and manufactured in Cambridge, the Node Atom range speakers are available in a choice of finishes to suit modern interiors. The speaker cabinets are wrapped in a bespoke and multi-layer acoustic fabric that helps control vibrations. The structural components are machined from billet aluminum before being polished to a high decorative standard.
