India will host the Asian Aquatics Championships 2025 at the newly built Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad from September 28 to October 11, with medals in swimming, diving, artistic swimming and water polo up for grabs.
Two-time Olympian Srihari Nataraj, who holds Indian swimming records in the 100m and 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke, will spearhead the 40-member Indian swimming contingent.
Live streaming and telecast of Asian Aquatics Championships 2025 will be available in India.
Nataraj arrives in top form after setting new national records in the 100m (49.46s) and 200m freestyle (1:48.11s) at the 2025 FISU World University Games.
“I’ve been here for the past month, and it’s been going really well. We’ve had time to get used to the pool, the blocks, the water conditions, and I think all of us are looking forward to putting in strong performances,” Nataraj said ahead of the Ahmedabad meet.
Joining him will be fellow Olympian Sajan Prakash, the national record-holder in the 200m butterfly, as well as Advait Page (800m and 1500m freestyle national records) and Kushagra Rawat – all of whom were a part of India’s Asian Games 2023 squad.
