The World Para Athletics Championships 2025 is being held in the Indian capital of New Delhi.
The 12th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships got underway on September 27 and will conclude on October 5.
The 73-member contingent of Indian para-athletes features 54 men and 19 women. Two-time Paralympic javelin throw champion Sumit Antil and sprinter Preethi Pal are in the squad.
More than 2000 athletes from 104 countries will compete in 186 medal events – 101 men’s, 84 women’s and one mixed.
Apart from Sumit Antil, who is also the defending champion in the javelin throw F64 class, and two-time Paralympic bronze medallist Preethi Pal, Praveen Kumar, Dharambir Nain and Navdeep will also be carrying the medal hopes for the host nation.
