Realme is preparing to launch the GT 8 series in October, with the GT 8 Pro debuting alongside the standard GT 8. Ahead of the event, the Pro model has already cleared its certification in China, confirming support for 120W wired charging.
The GT 8 Pro will also feature wireless charging and pack a massive battery. While earlier leaks hinted at an 8,000 mAh cell, the latest information points to a capacity in the 7,000 mAh range. Rumors from Weibo suggest that even at this level, the phone would still stand out among flagship devices.
The charging speed remains consistent with its predecessor at 120W. That is a relief for fans since earlier speculation suggested Realme might reduce the power output to 100W.
At the core, the GT 8 Pro will run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The camera setup is expected to include a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor, giving the phone a strong edge in mobile photography. On the front, Realme will use a 6.78-inch QHD display with a 144 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The device will also ship with up to 16 GB of RAM.
Out of the box, the GT 8 Pro will run Android 16 layered with Realme UI 7. With these specs, Realme is clearly targeting users who want both performance and endurance in a flagship smartphone.
