More than 80 artists from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas gathered at Macao Galaxy Arena on Sunday evening for the Greater Bay Area Film Concert 2025, delivering an audio-visual feast to a global audience in celebration of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.
The gala unfolded in four segments, featuring a star-studded lineup that included Jackie Chan, Joey Yung Cho-yee, Miriam Yeung Chin-wah, Zhou Shen and Xiao Zhan. They performed more than 60 folk songs, pop hits and film soundtrack favorites, paying tribute to timeless works while showcasing the charm of cultural fusion.
The atmosphere reached its peak with the appearance of two special guests: Taiwan-based musician Ling Feng, a pioneer of cross-strait cultural exchanges who in the 1980s introduced mainland society and culture to Taiwan audiences through his television work, and the 80-year-old American singer Bertie Higgins, who moved the crowd with his rendition of Casablanca, a popular hit inspired by the Oscar-winning title of the same name.
Initiated in 2021, the concert has been held three times — in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao. Each event has been themed on the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese festival celebrating family reunion and harvest, and the progress of the 11-city Greater Bay Area.
