Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Super Series is possibly the worst-kept secret in the PC hardware space, as yet further morsels of information have emerged about the unannounced graphics cards. Now, the power draw of both RTX 5070 Super and RTX 5070 Ti Super looks all but certain.
This time we’re back at Seasonic’s wattage calculator tool, which now contains listings for RTX 5070 Super and RTX 5070 Ti Super. Strangely, there’s no sign of RTX 5080 Super, despite plenty of rumours pointing to the existence of the card.
Selecting each GPU in the calculator reveals their TDP. Seasonic states that RTX 5070 Super will clock in at 250W, while RTX 5070 Ti Super will demand 275W.
While this would make RTX 5070 Ti Super more efficient than RTX 5070 Ti, there’s no change to RTX 5070 Super from RTX 5070. This could be due to a rumoured increase in core counts, thus requiring more power.
Note that while these values seem reliable, particularly as they reaffirm rumours from earlier this year, prior leaks from Seasonic have proven inaccurate. For context, this same wattage calculator claimed RTX 5090 would use 500W, which was 100W short of the final value. This isn’t to say these Super TDPs are false, but that you should instead take them with a healthy degree of scepticism.
After all, the RTX 50 Super Series launch apparently won’t be anytime soon. In fact, new reports via Benchlife suggest that Nvidia won’t launch this refresh until March 2026 at the earliest. That’s plenty of time for Team Green to make adjustments to specifications like power draw.
If you’re putting off your next graphics card upgrade in hopes of bagging an RTX 50 Super Series card, it seems you’re in for a lengthy wait. Still, with leaks indicating the refreshed SKUs will arrive with bigger VRAM buffers, courtesy of 3GB GDDR7 memory modules, these offerings should be worth the wait.
