Snoop Dogg is back for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026

Perhaps the most unexpected Olympic sports fan of them all is back for another edition, as rapper and music mogul Snoop Dogg has been announced as part of the coverage team for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 for NBCUniversal.

Already a hit with sports fans during Paris 2024, which saw the California native don riding gear to watch an equestrian event and carry the Olympic torch ahead of the opening ceremony, Snoop is back for the winter sport edition.

“I am excited to be back with my main man Mike Tirico for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina,” said Snoop, who is tasked with bringing his unique perspective to the proceedings in the spectacular regions of northern Italy, starting 6 February.

“The D O double G will be on the scene, and I am looking forward to celebrating with the athletes and their families,” said Snoop, who is set to mingle with fans who will be enjoying the two hubs in which the XXV Olympic Winter Games are set to take place: the bustling streets of Milan and the awe-inspiring Dolomites mountain range.

“The Olympics is the biggest stage in the world and, as everyone knows, I’m all about sports, bringing people together, and unifying while bringing the fun. I’ll be bringing my puffy jackets, snow pants, goggles, skates (and will definitely be iced out),” said Snoop.

“Our Ambassador of Happiness returns,” enthused Molly Solomon, executive producer of NBC Olympics. “We can’t wait to see how the kid from Long Beach handles the snow and ice of Italy at his first-ever Winter Olympics.”

Niether can we.
