Please don’t administer television’s last rites just yet

Janan Ganesh (“Don’t mourn the golden age of TV”, Opinion, Life & Arts, August 9) makes television sound like a parasitic vine that has been quietly strangling civilisation while it was distracted by Brian Cox swearing.
