India rejected peace, exposed its aggressive mindset: Mohsin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that former US President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate the Kashmir dispute opened a window for peace, but India shut it by refusing to engage.

“India’s rejection of peace reflects its aggressive mindset,” Naqvi stated in his message on Kashmir Martyrs’ Day.

Paying tribute to the 22 Kashmiris martyred on July 13, 1931, he said, “We salute those who stood firm and faced bullets for the call to prayer.” He described the day as the first collective voice of conscience against an oppressive system.

Drawing a parallel between history and the present, Naqvi said, “The guns of the Dogra regime and India’s violence are two faces of the same oppression.”

He condemned the ongoing suppression in Indian-Occupied Kashmir, calling it a violation of human dignity. “The Modi government, like the Dogra rulers, continues brutal actions against Kashmiris,” he said. “The cry for freedom rising from the blood of martyrs cannot be silenced.”

Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri cause, declaring that the country remains the “protector, advocate, and guarantor” of their right to self-determination.
