Kate Middleton Wears Royal Blue for Wimbledon Outing with Family

  • Kate Middleton has returned to Wimbledon for a surprise second appearance on July 13.
  • She was joined by her husband, Prince William, and their eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
  • She appeared in Wimbledon whites one day earlier for the Women’s Final.

Kate Middleton has made a second surprise appearance at Wimbledon on July 13 after attending the tennis championships for the Women’s Final on July 12. The Princess of Wales, who made a solo appearance on the 12th, was joined by her husband, Prince William, and their eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte for her second appearance at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships.

Middleton wore a royal blue dress for the Men’s Final. The midi-length tea dress featured a fluttery bow detail on the sleeve. She carried a wide-brimmed straw hat with a black ribbon and wore brown pumps. She accessorized with small hoops and a gold chain necklace with a round pendant. As for her hair, she rocked long curls in a subtle side part.

William coordinated with his wife in a navy blue blazer with off-white pants. Meanwhile, Charlotte also coordinated with Middleton, wearing a white dress with a matching ruffle shoulder detail. George matched with his father in a navy suit.

One day earlier, Middleton appeared at the event wearing Wimbledon whites, wearing a short-sleeved Self-Portrait dress with a pleated midi skirt and a belted bodice. As a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she also wore a purple and green Wimbledon pin.

During her appearance yesterday, Middleton presented the winner, Iga Swiatek, and the runner-up, Amanda Anisimova, with their trophies. Anisimova, who was beaten without winning a single game, broke down in tears following the match. She later told reporters that Middleton told her to “keep (her) head high” as she gave her the prize, per Sky. She added, “She definitely had a few things to say that were making me emotional again.”

Middleton has only skipped the iconic British championships once since she married into the royal family back in 2011—in 2013, she was pregnant with George and was unable to attend.

Last year, Middleton made a particularly emotional appearance at Wimbledon after publicly announcing her cancer diagnosis only four months earlier. “She has gone through something awful and stressful, and it is critical to have little wins to look forward to or to give you the courage and energy to go forward. And this was it,” an insider said to People of her Wimbledon appearance that year.
