Kim Kardashian has shared a fan-made AI-generated parody video on Instagram, showing a digital version of herself taking a 1984 Hermès Birkin bag.
The video, originally posted by the Instagram account RickDick, depicts a CGI Kardashian breaking a display case to take the bag, which recently sold for $10 million at Sotheby’s.
The Hermès Birkin, named after Jane Birkin, has long been recognised as a luxury item, and the parody clip quickly drew responses from social media users.
Comments included, “Mrs. Bezos is keeping the engine running outside,” referencing Kardashian’s friendship with Lauren Sanchez, and “Brava Kim, it was yours,” while others described the video as humorous.
The AI version of Kardashian in the video appeared in an outfit inspired by her recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week, where she walked the Balenciaga runway.
Kardashian became an official Balenciaga ambassador in 2024, continuing a long-term association with the brand.
Her engagement with the parody video follows discussions surrounding her relationship with Balenciaga and her activities within the fashion industry.
