Asos is connecting its end-to-end supply chain using the Celonis Process Intelligence platform, per a June 24 press release.

The platform enables Asos to link its inbound supply chain, logistics and outbound delivery and returns, and product operations to secure a real-time view of its entire supply chain, per the release. Asos aims to use the insights gained from the resulting metrics to optimize order fulfillment.

“With Celonis, we’ve connected our entire supply chain—from intake and inbound to outbound and returns—enabling teams to break down silos, streamline processes, cut costs, and deliver the latest trends to customers faster,” said Laurence Moore, Asos’ head of strategic projects, supply chain.

Through the Celonis platform, Asos is equipped to track thousands of SKUs and containers from the start of a purchase order to warehouse placement, according to the release. The technology can also be leveraged to track third-party carrier performance and returns.

Merchandising teams can also use Celonis data to view product performance, returns and pricing trends to enhance inventory planning.

Asos is also considering the use of Celonis technology across various business functions, including order and warehouse management, per the press release.

Many retailers like Asos are leveraging new technology platforms to gain better visibility into their supply chains. In turn, such companies are using data-informed insights to accommodate and adapt to changing market conditions.

Grocery retailer Giant Eagle, for instance, has been integrating the Manhattan Active Warehouse Management system across its distribution network. So far, the company has transitioned five out of its seven distribution centers to the new technology.

Guitar Center is also pursuing improved visibility for its inventory management and planning processes through the use of specific modules by Relex Solutions.
