Naval Chief highlights maritime combat readiness at Command conference

The Pakistan Navy’s Command and Staff Conference concluded at Naval Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, according to a statement from the Navy’s media wing.

Addressing the conference, Admiral Ashraf stressed the need for constant combat readiness to counter both traditional and non-traditional maritime threats. He praised the Navy’s deterrence capabilities demonstrated during exercise MARKA-e-HAQ, highlighting its display of strength and defence preparedness.

Reviewing operational matters, the Naval Chief lauded efforts to keep Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs) open and ensure smooth operations at sea ports.

Admiral Ashraf also emphasized advancing the Navy’s technological edge, focusing on the development of unmanned systems, including drones and unmanned surface and underwater vessels, to strengthen maritime surveillance and operational response.
